Let Jesus Guide Your Day

Ana Zoila Diaz C de Marciaga, NDI Coordinator – Mesoamerica Region

This is a great article that follows up well with the sermon this past Sunday. May it challenge you and encourage you to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. -Pastor Charles

How often do we organize our activities without inviting God to participate? Most of

us attend church fervently on Sundays. However, when Monday arrives, we structure

our days based solely on our own priorities, forgetting God’s purpose for our lives. Our

minds become saturated with work, family, and personal commitments. We fill our

calendars with plans and activities that end up exhausting us physically and

spiritually, leaving little room for what really matters in God’s kingdom.

Psalm 37:5 motivates us to organize our daily schedule by entrusting our lives to the

Lord, trusting that he acts on it. Matthew 6:33 calls us to seek first the kingdom of

God, trusting that the rest will be added.

We must allow Jesus to transform our daily schedules, prioritizing our relationship

with him to avoid ending up exhausted and frustrated.

But how do we do it?

1. Start your schedule with Jesus in prayer, and spend time in his Word before

planning your day.

2. Prioritize your activities around God’s kingdom work, distinguishing the

important from the urgent.

3. Talk to God before committing to something new.

4. Include time for yourself, your family, and rest — your life and family are

important to God.

5. Find time to serve others, with small actions of love for your neighbor.

6. End your day with gratitude to God.

7. Rest in him, trusting that he will complete what you couldn't do.

Dare to organize your daily agenda around Jesus.
